I am also a Christian and believe we are here to educate others about Christ. I can do that in my educator, mother, youth leader, wife, friend, cousin, etc. roles. We are not to live our lives for ourselves and we are to think of others. Obviously, not everyone agrees with that, and that is okay, I will do what I am supposed to do.simo12 wrote: ↑08 Apr 2021, 09:55 "we can create something out of the life we are living." I believe we are not here just for ourselves, As a Christian, I accept that we are put here to educate others concerning God, yet that isn't my sole reason. I'm additionally an educator, a mother, an adolescent chief, and so forth, so I have an assortment of jobs that incorporate my motivation.

I think that was my initial reaction, that we are not here just to create, but as I have thought about it and had other people post, we are always creating something. So, I do believe that is part of it. I do agree with you that people with different cultural and religious backgrounds will see life's meaning differently, and I had not thought about that! Thanks for sharing your perspective and helping me to see this in a different way.Parahiyo wrote: ↑08 Apr 2021, 14:25 I really don't agree that the meaning of life is to create. Life has different meanings depending on cultural and religious backgrounds. I personally believe that one should live as he/she pleases. Make life choices as you please but be aware of the outcome of your choices.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. No one else has said that they think the meaning of life is to love. Do you think we are to love everyone? Or just our family/friends? I would like to agree that "to love means that there would be peace and the rest follows," but I love my family and there is not always peace in the house, LOL! I think in an ideal world, maybe.

I don't think creating is the most concrete definition of life, but I see your point, and I believe creating is a part of life. I am glad that we don't all have to literally create everything that we need, that a lot of it has already been done for us! Thank you for sharing your perspective.Chizioboli wrote: ↑09 Apr 2021, 10:22 This is the most concrete definition of life. In life, there is nothing just as we want it to be. Therefore in order to get what we want, we create from what is obtainable. For example, if I need a toy car, I have to create it from plastic. Just like she exemplified from the creation of the earth, God out of nothing created the universe as it is and brought forth man to dwell in it.

I think part of the meaning of our lives is to create, but it is not the full meaning. I also do not necessarily think that we are "its own life creator." We were created by someone, we did not create ourselves and while we have control over some parts of our life, we don't have control over everything.Ishratfatima wrote: ↑10 Apr 2021, 05:50 Yes,I also agree with the author point...as meaning of life is to create.....everything depends upon what type of life we make for ourself by creating it in a good or bad way.

I think part of the meaning of our lives is to create, but I do not think that is our full purpose. I agree that we can choose who we want to live our lives, but I don't think we get to create our full reality. There are too many things beyond our control for that to be realistic. Thank you for sharing your perspective.Shirley-Tome wrote: ↑10 Apr 2021, 11:25 I absolutely believe this. We are the creators of our own lives and we can choose how we want to live our lives depending on what we wish to create in our realities.

It depends on what we're creating. Clearly, we are not God, so we can't create like he does. However, he has filled the earth with everything we need. A lot of these things we can use to become secondary creators, if that makes any sense. He created the matter, mineral resources, plants, air, chemical elements, water, etc. These things form the ingredients for our own capacity to "create."
