I am not a fan of historical fiction, but the #BOTD appears to have a strong message regarding redemption. Great review, you have me considering giving this book a try.

For the religious reader that searches out books about redemption, faith, love, and total submission to the will of God, this sounds like an ideal story to pick up.

The part about George seeing Beta got my attention. That is interesting to how Beta changed but overall the book is not something I would read.

The plot is not my cup of tea so I'll pass. People who enjoy the classic Protagonist-Leads-A-Wayward-Life-Until-They-Meet-Jesus-And-Makes-A-180-Degree-Turn will enjoy this, though.

This sounds like a really heartfelt and inspirational book. I like the message of faith and renewed faith. I definitely believe that can really help with things like grief and loss. I'm glad you enjoyed the book. Great review!

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting historical fiction about George Müller, a young man who lives a reckless party life until his friend introduces him to a Bible group and he starts his journey towards redemption, love, faith and God. While I suspect that it might not be for everyone, it might be worth a second look. Well done.

This book tells about the story of George Müller, a man who is living a wayward lifestyle until he finds his faith in God. I don’t like redemption stories such as this, so I’m going to pass.

Although I thoroughly appreciate the author's creativity in bringing George's experiences into a time we could better relate to; I am not a fan of Christian fiction. This just doesn't sound like a book I would enjoy. Excellent review; I enjoyed reading it!

While I’m sure it’s inspiring to see George’s struggles with the partying life and learning that it’s not the best path for him, I’m not a big fan of Christian fiction. I can enjoy a book with Christian characters in it despite not being Christian myself, but I find Christian fiction to be a little too preachy for my tastes. However, this book sounds uplifting and like an emotional journey for those who do like this genre. Thank you for the helpful review.
