Have you ever wanted to read something unique and different from normal fantasies like vampires and werewolves? Then, Rise of the Savior: Acolyte of Truth by Antoine Bonner is the go-to book.

Amanda, a normal teenage girl, gets pulled into a mystical world of deities and acolytes and kudalinis after one bizarre accident. She is an Acolyte of Truth chosen by a supreme being, her diety who happened to be a dog who can talk and growl. Isn't that interesting? Even before she gets the gist of things around her, Jamie, the villain, wants to kill her younger sister, Saira. Saira is six years old and an acolyte too. She is the intelligent one and has the knowledge of Wikipedia. Now, Amanda has to protect her baby sister and meanwhile has to accept the responsibilities that come with her powers. How will Amanda tackle all the problems lined up for her? The end is predictable however, the twists in the story are amazing and make you flip the pages till the end.

The first thing that caught my attention is the cover page of the book. It's very intriguing and feels like it is already telling a story in the dark. Since this is my first time reading a book of this unique plot, I instantly got myself involved in it. It is a well written and fast-paced story. Everything happens quickly once the protagonist meets the antagonist with real intentions. One can read it in one go. I loved the character, Saira and her smart brain.

I would have enjoyed it even more if the characters have more story developed with other characters. Other than that, few errors can be ignored. It's a well-edited book.

I would rate it 4 out of 4 stars since I enjoyed it as the plot was very unique. I would recommend this book to all fantasy lovers and who loves the stories set in the dark.
