I love reading mysteries that also have good character development for the protagonist. This one seems to have both. I look forward to reading it.

Intriguing! An abduction of a baby from a middle class family ranges from weird to alarming, but even more so when the reviewer hinted that their own family might be responsible for it. I love the way that this was reviewed and of course, I'm always excited to see more Tayma Tameem novels.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting mystery novel following a detective tasked with finding a couple's baby boy who went missing from his crib on the night of first birthday. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

Thanks for your insightful review. I like that the characters are multi-faceted: it adds depth to the drama. I am curious to see how it ends.

Nice one focusing on important parts of the story inside the book. I do wish to buy this one. Because I like the missing one story like this the kidnapper or enemy wait for this opportunity from every parents. Nowadays, there were many crimes like this in real. It's nice book for parental guidence also.

I am disappointed to hear the story sort of dropped off. Normally, this author is pretty good at keeping things going. It is a little different plot line than the author typically writes so I am interested to see how it progresses.

Although I love the sci-fi books Tayma Tameem has written, I'm not much on mysteries, even when the subject is a stolen infant. I think I'll be skipping this one. Thanks for the upbeat review!

The mystery intrigues me, although I prefer a story with a powerful ending rather than a powerful beginning. I might give this one a read to find out what happened to AJ. Well-developed characters is an aspect I always appreciate. Congrats on the BOTD selection!

I like the cover of this book. At first it sounded like an exciting mystery. What happened to baby AJ? But I do not like that the second half drags. I get bored and have trouble completing the book. Good review.

Vanished is the first book of a series entitled Void, written by Tayma Tameem. The novel dives into the frightful and troublesome theme of a missing child and the terrible consequences it entails.

Ryan and Sally Gallager are a middle-class couple like millions of others in America. They have a four-year-old daughter, Jessica, and a baby boy, AJ. At the beginning of the story, readers learn that Ryan had lost his job at a major pharmaceutical research company and kept this from his wife, an exhausted stay-at-home mom. To make things worse, AJ Gallager disappears from his crib on the night of his first birthday party. A skillful detective named Alan Banks gets assigned to the case, and he is as experienced and persistent as they come. Baker is determined to find out what happened to the baby boy. As is often the case with this type of crime, everyone is a suspect, relatives included. The question then becomes if this seemingly perfect family could be hiding something.

The disappearance of a child has to be the most frightening thing that could happen to parents. Tracking down the kidnapers and getting a child back is gut-wrenching and I want to read this book to learn the fate of the child. Very good official review.

Thanks for the informative review. Indeed misfortunes do not come singly. I empathise with Ryan's family. I may give this read a try, although I am terrified of the boring final chapters. Congrats on being the BOTD.

I love Tayma Tameem's writing and I look forward to the crime, mystery, and drama. I'm also curious as to whether AJ was found and who had orchestrated his kidnap. Thank you for a wonderful review.
