Holmes is clearly an exceptionally talented author. This is the third book in this historical fiction series, and the energy and attention to detail is exactly as good as it was in the first book. This thriller is sure to wow all historical fiction fans. Thanks for the thorough review!

This is a perfect book for those who love Egypt. I can see there are many characters in the book, and each of them carry an unique name suitable for Egypt and its culture. To sum it up, this is a rich book!

"Scepter of Flint" by N.L. Holmes - A cast of hundreds abounds in Scepter of Flint. All characters are well-developed and support a lovely mystery about who might be robbing tombs, a serious offense during this time. Hami, the protagonist, and his wife, outspokenly honest Neferet, hope to bring back the old ways. The review was great. Thanks.

Sounds more like Fantasy than Historical fiction to me, but I love it! The storyline is something right up my alley with royal court intrigue, fascinating new cultures and customs, mysterious event, mystery and suspense. Everything I like in one place. After such stellar review I certainly will try to read this book! Congrats on BOTD!

I am very interested in reading this book despite the fact that historical fiction is not my favorite genre. The best thing about this book was the character list and the connection to real people who existed during this time period. I am amazed that archeology has progressed as far as it has so that ancient civilizations can become the basis for a story. I also enjoyed how much you enjoyed reading this novel so much so that you could not extensively cover them all.

I really loved the cover of this book. The character list and the glossary in the begining of the book is helpful because there seems to be a huge number of characters involved in the story. Egyptian tales are so interesting! Gonna love this book!

That's a nice continuation of the series and yet another Hani's investigation. Just reading the review I got hooked on the story of one more murder case and it's interesting to find out what will happen in the book. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

I'm not one for political intrigue, Egyptian or otherwise, so I'll be passing on this one. However, judging by what I read in the sample, the author's writing style and character development are impressive. Thanks for the well-written review!
