This is the third book in the Lord Hani Mysteries series. The characters, although numerous, are well defined and portrayed. Congratulations to the author for writing this interesting story chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your excellent review.

Although I found the premise a little complicated, good character development alone can make a story excellent. I love it when the author incorporates actual events in the storyline, it increases the authenticity so much! Thank you for the gushing review, I'll definitely read this one.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting historical fiction novel about Hani, the master of the stables for the king of Egypt, who is given an assignment to visit several cities to get commissioners to assist in the King's forces. He discovers however that soldiers are attacking cities and his family, unknown to him, wants the king to pass so that the kingdom can return to the older ways, but the king's daughter is plotting her own way to the throne. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

I recently read another historical fiction by N.L. Holms, and I agree that he is an exceptional writer! He has the ability to navigate through an exhaustive character list and intricate plot elements without losing me along the way. This novel, set in Egypt, will undoubtedly be an interesting read. Congrats on the BOTD selection!

Holmes does not disappoint with this third book in the Lord Hani series. The book is well-written, intriguing and keeps the reader thrilled to the last page. My curiosity is piqued and I have to read the whole series. If you like Egyptian royalty stories, then this series is for you. Thank you for a brilliant review.

This seems really captivating. I have read some books with lots of characters with similar names which confused me and I'm glad this one does not confuse a reader. Im definitely going to read this book.
