Re: Meaning of life

Actually, the meaning of life is to create, I agree with that because every living soul has a purpose to which God has created him on this earth, that means God gave us the ability to discover and invent things for our needs.

I agree with the author. Life is a gift and it's up to you on how you further create the life you have been given.

Yes. I believe creation is the act of doing. Therefore, someone not doing anything is more similar to a dead person than someone who does and create things. If you love someone, you create love in yourself. I don't know about the six days of creation, but I believe life is about busyness.

So I don’t agree with Trish Ostroski but I do see her point and I understand it but it wasn’t convincing enough to win me over. I enjoyed There’s a Rooster in My Bathroom nontheless.
That's an interesting perspective, obviously, we are to live our lives, but isn't there, or shouldn't there be more than that? What is the point of living our lives? To live it well? Or make an impact? Or just to live it?
I believe that based on what most have been exposed to, including religion, many people belief there should be a reason to life. However, I don't believe there should be because I don't think there are any rules. Nobody comes to life with any rules. It's just someone like you and I that woke up one day and decided that there should be more to life to feel less miserable about their existence. However, I believe life means making things happen as opposed to being dead and lifeless. This doesn't mean you have to make some big difference though or be remembered in history. It's all meaningless to me. Everybody dies and whatever they thought was important would not be felt in the grave.

I also believe that part of our meaning of life is to create. I believe there is more than just that, but that is a big part of it. God has given us the ability to discover and invent things, but He also provides what we need. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

I agree, life is a gift and it is up to us how we want to further create it. Part of our meaning of life is to create, but I do not believe that it's the full purpose. I believe there is more to life than that. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

That is a great way of putting it. I do not believe the six days and the topic of creating are related, I think the author just put it that way for a conversational piece. I do not believe that life should be about busyness, but I do think we tend to let busyness get in the way. Thank you for sharing your perspective.

I think that the purpose of life is to enjoy the creation. Everything around us has been created already so now it's up to us to take the time to admire it instead of running around in circles while punching the air, which most people do when focusing on everything but living. Many spend most of their lives rushing and justling without really enjoying the banalities of life that bring us true joy, from soaking in the sun to breath fresh air as you listen to the chirping of birds, simple tasks that at the end of the day provides us a sense of peace and calm.

I totally agree. Creation is the true meaning of life. If one is not creating anything, or at least being creative with what life already has to offer, then they are just passing through life and in the end it will just be meaningless. There will be absolutely nothing to leave behind, or rather something to be celebrated - or merely remembered - for.

I agree that part of our purpose is to enjoy creation. I also believe that part of our purpose is to create. We are constantly creating new things: people, books, notes, memories, etc. I do agree that many people rush through life without taking the time to enjoy it, and I don't think that is how we are to live our lives. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

I also believe that part of our purpose is to create. We are constantly creating stuff even today, although nothing as spectacular as God's creation. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

I think that life is simply to live freely, accomplish our desires that is by feeding our soul through taking risks. Every one of us possesses a different kind of energy which makes our paths vary. We are born in this world every time ultimately to reunite with the topmost energy -God.

God created man in His likeness, therefore we have the capacity for creation. It is the uniqueness of our needs and desires that make what each individual creates in his or her life different. The combination of our unique creations in life forms the bigger picture in life. So yes, I think the purpose of life is to create both tangible and intangible creations based on our needs and desires.
