I do not like poetry but I do like that the poems are about current social problems and are relevant.

I rarely read poem since I always having a hard time understanding it. But I do realize that people who like it are a lot. That's why I always also want to understand the beauty of poem and this review very much help me. This review helps me to view the poem in a more meaningful and beautiful way, especially to poems I couldn't relate to as I haven't or not experience it yet.

One will be reminded of all the more important things in life with these poems. It tackles quite a lot of diverse issues, from parenthood to the coronavirus pandemic. It seems like it’s worth a shot.

This poem really talks about love, valuing who and what we have. The love that existed between Stan and Dwight is overwhelming. The poem is so good. Kudos! to the writer

I wasn't a big fan of poetry, but it has started to grow on me. I appreciate the diverse themes the author employed in his writing. Sounds like he made sure there is something for everyone.

I normally do not like reading poems so I have to pass on this one. But the book seems interesting and I'm sure many will love it!

Poetry is a genre that is beautiful to read, but hard to create as an author. I liked that the author stuck with his life story and the things that were the most important in his life. I also liked that you, as the reader, experienced so many different emotions while reading these poems. I am surprised that the author managed to write about the pandemic as well as other topics.

Thank you so much for the marvelous review. I've just read the sample, but I also enjoyed the poems completely. They were like listening to stories at a friend's house. I can imagine how funny the story about the fridge is now but must have been scary at the time. Having a son, I know how kids are at times. I have added this book to my list of books to read.

This made me think of a conversation I just had with my niece; When you hear people reminiscing you don't hear them talk about the car they drove or the clothes they wore or the things they owned. You hear them talk about the people they were with, the laughter and tears they shared, and the kind of person they were. It sounds like the author did the same thing when looking back over his life. Poetry; what a wonderful way to look back on life and remember the important things you experienced. I can't wait to read them.
