I like the fact that the author provides examples of three marriages from different time periods. The author explains the difference between a marriage coach and marriage therapist and elucidates on why he believes marriage is important. I believe this could be a very useful book for couples, whether engaged or married. Thanks for the good review on this book.

I'm not married or engaged, but reading the free sample I believe that it's a book that can help people grow as couples. Getting engaged or married is a big step that can confuse people and make them vulnerable, therefore this book could come in handy to all those that struggle. I'd want to have it in my bookshelf just in case my relationship develops.

I think communication is the key, as is mentioned. I know a lot of couples who could have benefited from this. Thanks for your review.

This book brings out the obvious that; marriage is not always a bed of roses. I believe communication and understanding supersede love when it comes to
courtship, then marriage. The book review is commendable.

After being married for 40 years, I agree with the author that the word "me" has no place in the marriage. I think people in all types of marriages can benefit from reading this book. We all have the same types of issues. Thank you for your review.

I am a medical student and currently in a relationship. With the huge amount of work of the medical school, sparing time for my partner overwhelms me. What I just needed at the moment is a doctor's advice who himself has a loving family. I am so happy that I got to know about this book!

Every marriage has a lot of hurdles, both members have to work through these hurdles as true partners to make their marriage successful.
This book can be very helpful for those who are tying
new relationship, also for those who are facing problems in their marriages.

This sounds like an excellent resource for any marriage. Communication is key. I like that the author explores reasons why to marry as well, not just what to do once married. Thanks for an informative review.

“Don’t fight to win, fight to understand”, Is a phrase that all married people should be drawing their lesson from in this book. Your review is excellently written. Congratulations to the author on BOTD selection

It’s obvious you put some thought into the proper audience for this book. I agree also that really it should be about Long term committed relationships, not necessarily just marriage.

I really enjoyed this review. I especially like the idea of having questions at the end of each chapter. “Don’t fight to win, fight to understand” is such a great and meaningful quote that I am going to incorporate into my thing- this is definately hard to lo remember in the heat of the moment. Constantly check in with your feelings and have a conversation so you can stay on the same page. Marriage could be hard but communication is key and definitely a life tour for everyone. Congrats on the BOTD I’m looking forward to reading the entire book I appreciate the detail and I am motivated by this great review.

This book seems like a great resource for couples who wish to strengthen their relationships. I agree that discussion about gay or lesbian relationships would make the argument stronger, and be beneficial to a wider range of audience. Thanks for the review!
