Bahar's journey and struggle seem to have a realistic storyline. It would be interesting to see the stages of grief she goes through emotionally because of Omid's brain cancer. I especially liked how you mentioned this being a good read for a strong woman. I would also love to explore the vibrant Iranian culture shown here. Moreover, the fact that it is edited well and all the characters are developed nicely makes the story of Bahar and Omid more appealing to me as a reader.

Thanks for writing a lovely and comprehensive review of this compelling book. I really liked reading it!

This was an amazingly well written review. I typically don’t read these kind of books due to their nature. Though anyone who does knows that they will be reading a beautifully well written review and book.

This book is going to be an intensely emotional read. And I like the fact that all the characters are written well and they are given a convincing character arc.

Thanks for a wonderful review. This seems like we can learn about Iranian culture, aside from reading the story about loss and love.

This book looks like a love story struck by tragedy. It seems to immerse readers in many emotions and highlights the strength of women to cope with difficulties. Certainly, family support can be of great help in cases like that. An interesting option.

I know from personal experience the devastating impacts that losing a spouse can entail. I am glad the author has made Bahar a strong character. This book can definitely provide hope to readers who are dealing with a life-changing event. Thank you for your review.

Thanks for the insightful and compelling review. You paint a pretty clear picture of the intensity of the narrative and how many readers, including myself, may find many aspects of relatability to both the story and the main characters. I would have liked a brief explanation of the other characters and what you liked about them or how they contributed to the story. Although the cultural aspects are unique, I grew up in a very similar family dynamic. Your review has helped me understand and appreciate why this story matters, regardless of cultural or ethnic background.

I read the sample before reading the review.
I agree with all the positive points you mentioned about the book: heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time.
The story is very relatable for people my age.
It features the things I fear the most but need to face someday.
Thanks for your review, and congratulations on the BOTD.

It is always difficult to read such stories, and I have noticed that when tragedy strikes, it's multiple problems all at once. I'm fortunate to not have experienced something like this, but I have seen people who have suffered. Bahar reminds me of a family friend and her strength to take care of her family and being strong for all of them is commendable.

This sounds like a heart-wrenching read. I can't imagine how difficult Bahar's journey must have been. I hope that she can find her way. It sounds like the book is well-stocked with fabulously developed characters, making it all the more inviting to read. Thanks for your lovely review.

"Remembering Hope" by Parastoo Rezai - Bahar, an Iranian woman tells her story of her 20-year-old marriage to Omid, and his subsequent illness and death. Theirs is a beautiful love story, cut short by Omid's glioblastoma, a brain tumor. Bahar is a strong woman with two grown children who support her during this hardest of times. Thanks for the informative review.
