The Amazon blurb talks about aliens playing "fairy godmother" to Christina. I wonder why the reviewer did not mention them.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting story about a woman who becomes a top entertainer in America at a young age before becoming broken-hearted, moving to Rome and changing her identity to become a top star again. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

Like you, I felt that the romantic and erotic story elements were much too rushed. I'm glad to hear that it was justified later in the novel. Thsnks for the interesting review!

From the review, I think I'm in love with everything about Christina. She is an icon of bravery, power, achievement and success. From a top star, to a music star in Rome and finally a female president, what an inspiration! She is a clear proof to everyone that your past can't define you. I have to give this book a try. Thanks for your review.

It sounds like the book tells the hardships of becoming a star at a young age. The story seems to be full of real emotions. I would really love to read this.

I like that this book talked about homosexuality. A growing number of authors nowadays are becoming more realistic and no longer straightwashing events or characters in their books. I also like Christina's ambitious character.

Christina Powers American Goddess by James Aiello is an interesting and exhilarating read. This book revolves around a woman, Christina Powers. The author beautifully leads us into her life from her teenage years into her adulthood. Due to her level of dedication to entertaining, she became a top star in America at a young age, and Frank, who was her loving uncle at the time, inspired this. As fate had it, she met and fell in love with a baseball player, John Everett. This relationship affected her rapport with Frank, and it also facilitated her discovery of her true connection to him. Eventually, her relationship with these two men, whom she held in high esteem, came crashing, and she soon left America for Rome broken.

In Rome, she changed her identity, and months later, she is determined to entertain and become a star once again. Her music became well known and hit the shores of America. On her return home, she sets forth to accomplish her goals. She lives a fun-filled life and adds value to her country, even in the political sphere. In the quest to reshape the world and make it a better place to live in, she is on the verge of occupying the highest position in her country. Will she succeed?

This is a wonderful success story of a woman that became a star at a young age and then her relationship with John Everett, a baseball player, and her uncle Frank came crashing down. She moved to Rome, changed her name, and became a star once again. I look forward to reading the rest of the book. Very good official review.
