Although I agree that investing in people and creating relationships is an important part of success, I do believe that working smart and working hard is very important. Nevertheless, sounds like a great read for motivation and information. Thanks for the review!

This sounds like a powerful self-help book for anyone struggling to find the courage and struggle to overcome something difficult. I like how the story is broken up into six short stories, making it easy to read a story at a time in no particular order. Thanks for the detailed review.

This sounds like an account of assurance. Most occasions our conditions secure us, they restrict us and deny us of the individual confidence in our capacity. I'm happy that the author decided to transcend all that to cut her specialty throughout everyday life. I couldn't want anything more than to peruse her story, on account of your stunning, clever review. Congrats.

This is a first, a writer with a different recipe for success. This is a new turn of events as opposed to the original styles of most motivational books. There are certainly lots of lessons to learn in this particular book. Congrats for being the BOTD. :tiphat:

MsH2k wrote: 08 Mar 2021, 16:02 One of my favorite stories was in the chapter “Gettin’ Out Of Dodge.” Shprintz had failed a voice audition for an entry-level U.S. Air Force position she really wanted. (After getting to know the author through these accounts, the last part of the prior sentence is redundant. She rarely did anything she didn't feel passionately about, and she expected every endeavor to end in success.) While still reeling from this disappointment, she received a call asking if she would help another recruit who was anxious about the same audition process. I'm quite certain my initial response would not have been as gracious, but Shprintz opted to help the fellow recruit.
That's admirable indeed. Besides, I like that the author has taken a different take on the 'work harder or smarter' concept. I think what the author means by real success is encouraging and aiding others in their success journey.
Thanks for this thorough and wonderful review :tiphat:

It seems like a decent enough book, but I'm too jaded to subscribe to the notion that belief will get you far in itself. The circumstances or environment must be reasonably predictable. I am, however, impressed that you highlight two things in the book: the negation of the ‘work smarter, not harder’ mantra, as well as the value of investing in people and acknowledging their unique abilities to attain goals. These are practical considerations that make me want to read the book.

Your review is insightful. I'd like to to read the mantras included in this book. Lacking money and a supportive family can be one heck of a hard life.
