I liked the anthology at the beginning of the book which described the main characters and the brief outline of the story from the first book. However, reading the sample I did not find it appealing, so I will pass on this one. Thanks for the excellent review of this book.

The love between Kat and Thomas sounds like an intriguing one. I can just imagine the strain their relationship goes through because of the trauma caused by Anstey. You did an excellent review of this book

I haven't read the first book of the series but this sounds interesting just because of the impending danger. It appears there is a role reversal as most women are protrayed as forgiving instead of men. Great review.

I have not read alot of books set in the Elizabethan era and this could not be more inviting. Thank you for the review.

It sounds like an interesting read, especially with all twists and turns. However, I am not a fan of reading books in a series out of order. Great job with the review.

I'm not so sure about the combination between romance and sci-fi, but I love character-driven stories. Kat seems like a strong female protagonist too. Thanks for your review!

Sounds like a fun mix of sci-fi and history. I like that you mentioned it can be read as a stand-alone, but I think I'll still read the first one. Thanks for the insightful review.

Kat and Thomas' recourse in the face of Anstey's revenge should be an exciting read.

This sounds like an incredibly interesting read. Science fiction, fantasy elements and character-driven story- everything I look for in a good book. The romance part might not be for me, but if executed well it may prove to be enjoyable. I will definitely give it a go!

The review is well written. The book sounds like a nice romance novel. But it's not my type of read. However, congrats on the book of the day
