Although I am a fan of the genre, the types of crime and violence in today's BOTD aren't ones that interest me, but fans of crime thrillers filled with action and suspense may want to give it go! Thank you so much for your review! It was very helpful and well-written. Keep up the great work! :-)

The topics in this novel are too dark and upsetting for me. These things happen far too often in real life and I'm not keen on reading much about them these days.

This is a spectacular crime drama. I love the character of Parker and how the author portrayed him. Thank you for the excellent review. This book is a real page turner

I really like the plot, but the part about kidnapping female hitchhikers might be too much for me. Congrats on BOTD!

The pacing of the story was perfect. The events all fell into place in an orderly fashion. I loved how there are multiple cases in the story. Gradually, we get to understand Parker as a character and how his past affects his present. Many books usually dismiss the consequences of a character; however, the author understood there are consequences when a cop uses deadly force. I appreciated this matter was acknowledged. I was interested in Parker’s backstory and, I am interested in reading the next book to try and find out more about him.
I think this is so important! In most of the crime thrillers I've read, the cop who goes rogue is the hero, when in real life there are rules in place to protect everyone involved, even the cops themselves. This adds a new level of realism to the story.
Thank you!

Though it sounds like an engrossing read, the plot and topics are too dark for me to pick the book up anytime soon. So, thanks for the warning. But as you said that the book was difficult to put down, I might read it sometime later.

The story seems interesting but I won't be picking it up due to the torture and gruesome killings you mentioned. The fact that it is 750 pages also makes me avoid the book. I'm glad you enjoyed it and great job on the review.

I like crime thrillers, but I think this seems on the heavy side. I'll give it a go, thanks for the heads up about the violence. Thanks for your review.

I haven't read a single book on the crime thriller. If it was up to me, I wouldn't have read one. But thanks for writing such a clear review, now I want to know how Nick and Reggie will solve the cases that came along with Samuel and Ezzikel case. And undoubtedly, I would like to learn the backstory of Nick as well.

This story sounds absolutely awful and I don't understand why anyone would like to read it. There's enough brutality and cruelty in this world, no need to read the books about it.

This is the first book in the Nick Parker series. It is a crime thriller that covers several cases. It includes strong themes such as rape, torture, gruesome murders, and necrophilia. So it is aimed at mature adults who are not disturbed by these topics.

As disturbing as some of the events described may seem, I’m also genuinely intrigued!. I absolutely love crime thrillers and I love following the process of how the culprit is finally caught. Thanks for a well written review too!.

Crime thrillers are amazing. It is sad that a father and his son are isolated and can only depend on their instincts to survive. The book seems to have scary parts. I will skip this one, it is not something I would like to read.

"Bloody Redemption" by James Meenagh - The protagonist, Nick Parker, becomes a cop in Seattle after years of being an assassin. His character is very well developed and the reader feels empathy for him. He ends up with a partner and together they solve cases. But his old life comes back as he metes out heavy justice. Thanks for the insightful review.
