Dan's Magic Song by Rita Mitchell is a children's book about a boy named Dan and his amazing love for music. The book contains plenty of elements of fantasy, magic, and fiction.

The writer begins by describing a young boy called Dan who lived in a magical land along with his family. Whenever Dan listens to music, he begins to sing whatever is on his mind, which goes to show how special and unique he is. Dan's songs are beautiful and magical, as they give inspiration to his listeners. Dan's songs make his listeners go out to the streets, and the sky becomes lit up when he begins singing. However, an evil wizard hates Dan's singing, and his magic spell takes Dan to a dark prison cell. The cell is wet, cold, and isolated, while Dan's blanket is filled with mold.

I appreciated several features of this novel. First of all, I found no errors in the story, which meant that it was exceptionally edited. Also, the book was structured coherently and logically, so young children will easily follow the story's plot. Furthermore, the author's ideas were original, as she used plenty of creativity when crafting the story. The writer also conveys an encouraging message about the significance of hope and perseverance. What I liked most about this book was that it was full of colorful and exciting illustrations, which in turn will grasp a kid's attention. There was nothing to dislike in this book.

This book is most suited for young readers who like music and singing. Parents may wish to purchase this book in order to read it to their children as a bedtime story.

In closing, this book deserves a score of 4 out of 4 stars. This is because it was amazingly edited, creatively written, and wonderfully illustrated.

Although this book is for children who are into music, I would recommend every child to read it at least once. Because this book is wonderful for music-loving children, and will help instill o taste for music in those children who have not been introduced to this lovely art till now. Amazing book, and equally amazing review.
