Thank you for such a well-crafted review! You write from personal experience with your family tree, which made the review a pleasure to read. I have been curious about my own heritage, but I have never had to question any features because I have my dad's mom's chin. :lol2: Great job and thank you again.

Family relationships are always a good tale for me . This book is about a girl who descovers being not her daddy's biological child.

I really admire the author's bravery for putting this down into words; I don't think it's a discovery that anybody wants to make. Thanks for the great review.

discovering on your own that your parents aren’t really your biological parents is difficult enough for 1 person. finding multiple family secrets and a grandma that maltreated you will only worsen the situation. i hope our protagonist finds what she’s looking for.

I've always admired those who have the courage to write their autobiographies. In this case, dealing with well-hidden family secrets adds elements of mystery and suspense to the real-life story. Thanks for your review!

This is an intriguing book about a young woman's discovery that her family tree was not what it seems. Great review.

Family secrets cause a lot of pain. The pain of being in darkness for a long time before getting to know the truth is even more. All in all, it is a great read. Looking forward to reading it.

I was just thinking, as I read your review, how descendants are always affected by their ancestors’ deeds/misdeeds when you put it succinctly; ‘family secrets can make or break and individual’s life.’ Also, I’m impressed by how you point out the problematic deployment of some grammar and how you reacted to it. That’s the kind of thing that many opt to ignore in a book review, perhaps feeling it too critical. Yet it can affect how one receives a story.
