Zia Lennox is a young and ambitious literary agent who is willing to claw her way to the top. Struggling with her crippling anxiety has left her out of the dating scene for quite some while. Not that she minds because dating is just a setup for failure. Right? When Zia encounters persistent yet charming Bryce, she starts rethinking her outlook on dating. At the same time, a new and exciting crime-based thriller novel pops into her inbox and piques her interest more than she expected. Baxter, the author behind this novel, is also as intriguing and she finds herself wanting more from him than just his literary genius.

Zia's career finally takes off with the help of Baxter's riveting novel, just as she expected it would. Not only has she had a breakthrough in her career, but she has also lowered her defenses and given every woman's dream man Bryce a chance at her heart. Baxter being Zia's bread and butter right now is constantly sharing phone calls with her discussing business and getting to know her on a more personal level. Zia soon realizes that she has an infatuation not only with her loving boyfriend Bryce but Baxter also.

Just mere weeks after Zia has concluded that she shares feeling for a man other than her beloved, she acts on those feelings and does so passionately. Not only has she betrayed her lover but, there is also a mysterious serial killer slaughtering his way through women in New York. Oddly enough, these killings are sinisterly similar to the same ones depicted in Baxter's novel.

Chameleons by Onyx Gold is suspense, thriller, and romance all wrapped into one delightful story. Every character embodies life-like traits which makes them relatable and easy to connect with. The passion captured between her and the men she gets involved with is astonishingly well-written and thought out perfectly.

This book is a wonderful read for any adult looking to mix romance, lust, and chiller into a creatively immersive world that will leave you craving more.

Zia goes through a tremendous amount of growth that can be witnessed progressing through the story. Zia's ability to let go of her pre-existing thoughts about love and open herself up proves this example.

I loved reading this book and it is by far now my all-time favorite. Chameleons will invoke wonders for anyone who loves to experience a well-written crossover of genres. Not only did I feel a great sense of realism while reading I also felt as if I was personally connected to the characters. Chameleons earned a 4 out of 4 from me and I loved every second of it. This book deserves this rating because it not only provides with you a wild romance but also suspense. I have no complaints and found no grammatical errors during my read.

Historical fictions always have a way to structure your mind back in time. It'll be great too to read about the Great Depression and to be honest, this is my first time of hearing it. So I'd love to pick this pick sometime. Great review

Thank you for the review. From your description, it sounds like an amazing read with a strange love triangle, money and crime. I just saw another review that said it was a terrible read. I like seeing the two perspectives. Have a lovely day.

I reviewed this book also but had a completely different take on Zia. I find it interesting how the same book can affect every reader's perception in amazing contrast. Great review!
