The mystery catches my attention, but I think the fishing talk would lose me.

I did not find the cover for the book to be attractive and inviting, so, I probably would not have chosen to read the book. Having read the review and the sample, I found the book to be nice, but I still will not read it entirely because it focuses on the flying fish sport, and since I am not much of a sporty person, I might not understand some of the things they talk about. But I do think one can learn a lot about these women's personal challenges. Thanks for an interesting review.

I've just finished reading and reviewing a revised edition of this book, and I must say I really enjoyed it. I was a bit worried about my complete lack of knowledge about fly fishing, but found the book explained it well enough as the characters learned more themselves. As you said, it was done in a way that didn't feel overwhelming and was actually quite informative. I am glad to see that changes were made in regards to grammar and typos. The revised edition was well edited (I noticed only one mistake) and this really helped the book flow. A great book, I would definitely recommend!

I just finished reading the updated version of this book. I did notice a few errors, but I really enjoyed the story. The women are realistic and their bond is so deep. Great review!

After reading your review, I decided to give this one a try. I wasn't sure if I'd like it because I know absolutely NOTHING about fly fishing! However, I easily got drawn into each character's story. I found something about each character that made me think about someone in my own life, which made it fun to read. Thanks for the review. It pushed me to read something that I otherwise would not have thought about reading!

Kalin Adi wrote: 13 Jan 2018, 11:06 Fly fishing? I had to google it to find more about this sport. I agree the plot encourages women to do something different since fly fishing is not a typical women sport and the theme of friendship is always a good one. Too bad about the typos. I hope the author get the book revised again. Thanks for this useful review!
I agree with you I did not know what fly fishing was either until I started to read this book. I thought fishing was just that fishing. I am glad to see I wasn't the only one that did not know anything about fly fishing.

I am in the process of reading this book for a review and I hope not to find the errors you have found when reading this book. I thank you for your review it has given me more insight on this book.

I love the twist of fly fishing as an uncommon sport for women and the friendship portrayed in the Reel Sisters. The review made me yearn for more so I will be going for a read soon with this book. Thanks Ashley.

I love that the book takes on a sport not typically done by many women. I can easily see how this book can help give women the confidence to go outside of their comfort zones and try things they normally wouldn't have the courage to do.
The story will inspire women to explore beyond their boundaries. Thank you for the insights.
