Sounds very interesting and I'm curious to find out what has happened to all those patients. Thanks for the great review!

If you've ever lost someone—friend or family—om the operating table or shortly after due to a botched surgery, this thriller may not give you much thrill. However, it does sound like a really well-written story with enough suspense and mystery to keep one reading. This is probably a bigger picture book about the failings of the health system; Dr. Webb, Dr. Roth, and Dr. Kirkland are just utilized to paint a picture of that reality.

After reading the sample, I couldn't resist reading the entire book. It was fun reading the sample, crime-thrillers being one of my genres. Would love to read more of emergence!

Thank you for such a wonderful and detailed review!
I read some of the sample pages and found the book somewhat interesting. I may try to get it at some point in the future. But you did an amazing job!!

I love crime that is based on the medical field especially in the surgery section. This book reminds me of different complications encountered after surgeries.

t's an interesting thriller to be honest.
My first impression is on the description of characters and not forgeting the demographic surroundings, well detailed..
I love the fact that the review leaves you with so much curiosity on whether Dr Roxanne deliberately killed her patients or not.. it's definitely a good strategy to use to make people to read your content.

Emergence by Shira Shiloan is one of the best thriller novels that i have read so far. A very gripping, suspenseful thriller which will leave you with a different outlook on what surgeons are capable of.
I loved the character of Dr. Roxanne Roth as she was hardworking anaesthesiologist who is healing day by day from the loss of her fiancé. Roth is a very courageous, caring and compassionate character. On the other hand, Dr. D.K. Webb is a twisted, cunning and sinister sociopath whose narrative I really enjoyed reading from. I found myself on the edge of my seat wanting to find out what he was capable of doing next.

The plot of the story is quite intriguing. I have never read a medical thriller before. This book seems like a great start. Loved the review. :tiphat:

I'm intriguided by this plot. Just undergoing surgery already scares me without the added terror of a murderous doctor! This book seems to deliver on the suspense, and therfore worth the read! Congrats on the BOTD selection!

Shiloah's debut medical romantic thriller weaves romance and suspense into a contemporary drama about new beginnings... Great for fans of Kelly Parsons's Doing Harm, [and] Tess Gerritsen.

I really thought this was a great book! I'm glad so many of you also enjoyed it. I personally love medically accurate storylines so when they described the minute details right down to the medicine she was using, I knew I would be hooked. I'm not sure if I would say this book is scary to me. I might even go so far as to say I don't think it's a thriller either. What Dr. Webb does to people is horrifying of course but I wasn't a nervous wreck while reading. Such an interesting read. I had it finished in a little over a day!
