Wordlines by Adam Guest is revolved around the Many Worlds Theory of Quantum Mechanics. The protagonist of the novel, Gary Jackson has met with a series of unexplainable events that includes the murder of his girlfriend, Michelle Peyton. However, these events don't limit to Gary or his timeline. Will he make sense of what has happened in his world & other worlds? Only time will tell.

Jumping from one world to another, the readers also tag along with the characters to unravel the unknown. There is suspense, mystery, fantasy & all other emotions which have kept us on our toes (in a good way). The author seems to have gone to great lengths into understanding the Many Worlds concept and has narrated it in such a way that it is easy for even simpletons (those who are oblivious to Physics jargon) to stay hooked and keep track of all the key incidents in the story.

The book is fascinating and nothing like I have ever read before. The author has separated timelines, character behaviors, their backstories & current events seamlessly.

One moment you might be having chocolate gateau with your girlfriend & the next moment you are being charged for her murder. It may also appear like you are living your dream life in one world & dreading your existence in the other. The plotline is compelling which encourages active reading so that you never miss out on any details.

The thing that I liked the most about the novel was how beautifully the author has tweaked & explained certain aspects of the characters based on different outcomes. It is thought-provoking and you can't help but wonder where you would have landed up if you chose to do one action over the other.

The novel ended with a cliffhanger with a lot of questions unanswered. So, I'm eagerly waiting for what the author will come up with for the next one. Will there be more alternate realities like new relationships or introducing new characters? That is for us to keep on guessing & the author to answer.

This book is science-fiction. From lucid dreaming to parallel universes & the butterfly effect, all theories seem to be real here. So, it might intrigue those who want to immerse themselves in a world that is open to all possibilities. I would rate this book a solid four out of four stars as there's nothing to dislike about it.

Interesting book and I think you explained it well in the review! I like especially what you said about having kinda different characters in every reality because of the things happening to people in the specific version of reality.
