It seems you failed to stay aloof – which you recommend as a reading approach for this genre – in this one and actually got involved given your statement ‘I always felt like I was an eyewitness and felt my heart thumping…’ That’s always an indicator of a well written book. However, I suspect I would be harsher than you in rating the book considering the instance where you felt some details that could have enriched the book were omitted.

I love suspense, but I'm not fond of crime thrillers. Nonetheless, it sounds like a great read. Congrats on BOTD!

Regarding the negative aspect of the novel that Vic Chimezie has mentioned, I agree with him that this may be a plot hole. However, since it happened before the story began or while the story just began, I think it does not have much impact on one's appreciation of the book. Congratulations to the author for BOTD!

Wow what a good review it makes you want to sink your teeth into it and take a big fat juicy bite of suspense, even tough I don't like drug and gang related stories, I think this could change my mind. Well done!

I'm not a strong lover of crime-thrilled books, but I must say that the storyline plots is intriguing. Congratulations on being the BOTD.

Detectives walk into a bloody crime scene, the result of a drug deal gone sour. That is the premise of the story and there are many twists and turns, with more characters like a priest who is counseling an endangered refugee.
