All the stories in this book Tales of the Seventies were literally started in the seventies and they were reworked again before the book was published. This book is a collection of random stories that are not slightly connected to each other and a novella, whose main character is based on a schizophrenic friend who died high on LSD attempting suicide. The book contains six short stories apart from the novella and all the stories titles are very interesting like the Cat Burglars or Blind San Franciscans, which made me wanted to read them.

Tales of the seventies is written by David C Done. the stories are very original, the settings, the plot, and the themes of the stories are very unique. Right from the start, the stories get you hooked on them, and the storytelling is also superb from the description of the settings to the details of characters are conveyed very well. the uniqueness of the stories can be seen in the various different concepts that every individual story depicts. A reader can clearly see that the stories are not clones, but the author's own creations. Amongst all the stories, some stories even mention the source of inspiration of the stories which adds to the magic of stories.

However, while I found the contents of the story really engaging, it does not necessarily mean that the stories were finished nicely. Putting in simple words all the story's endings were very sudden, right when you expect the climax the story suddenly ended. To be precise, the book is a collection of unending incomplete stories. For me, the endings of the stories were a big disappointment, it was as if the story ended in the middle without any further expectation.

I will settle for a rating of two out of four stars for this book. As the stories were really engaging and concepts being really unique, the only drawback was the endings. But the endings decide the real message of the stories and all the stories lacked that feeling of completion that is the reason for the average rating of this book.

overall, I enjoyed reading this book, it just felt like a light novel easy to read. I will recommend this book to anyone who likes to read stories as the depiction is done beautifully or the readers who enjoy reading stories with different kinds of concepts. The book is very easy to read, anyone who is new to reading can definitely go for it.
