Red Wave Imperative by Alan Schein is a book about politics and the clash between the democrats and republicans in America. The author is a republican supporter and does not agree with the democrats who he thinks dominate the media and press with false images and propaganda for their own cause to win against Trump. The writer, however, argues that this propaganda is not in the best interests of the American public. The benefits of the people and the country should be the priority, he argues. He attempts to put forward all the positive things that Trump has done for America and how he has worked hard to build the country. Some interviews and statements of Trump have been twisted, he claims. Although he does support Trump he appears to try to look objectively for the good of America. Did Trump slip up sometimes? Did he have affairs? What were his statements about women? In reality, the book is not merely discussing the disagreements between the parties but tries to find the best solutions and leadership for America. For this reason the author at times compares America to other countries and discusses the factors that have led some countries to flourish and have a good economy, quality of life, longevity, and employment. What can America learn from them? Does socialism increase or hinder a society? You can find out answers to these questions by reading the book, which is 215 pages and written in the third person.

What was good about the book was that it was very well-researched, which was evidenced by the several pages of references found at the back of the book. It was also well-written since I only came across one spelling error. The organisation and the chapters made it easy to read as well as the simple and straightforward use of language. The book is not a reference or specialist book and the reader does not need in depth knowledge concerning the parties or political issues. It is aimed at people considering who to vote for in the general election and so offers advice concerning the political parties. The comparison of different countries was very helpful towards understanding issues faced in current day America and how they could be improved. It was also interesting to read about the things Trump has done and been involved in that we may not have heard about, or things that may have been twisted. The writer puts forward a strong case against the democrats in support of Trump. Perhaps those who did not think Trump was good for America may reconsider their ideas after reading the book.

On the more negative side, as a supporter of the republicans and Trump, he does seem quite biased at times in his writing. Whereas he does acknowledge that Trump is not perfect, and mentions mistakes he has made, it seems that the democrats don't have a positive aspect to them. I wondered how the book would have been written if the author was not a Trump supporter. There was one swear word in the book but it was asterixed. I also did not appreciate the writer's comments on Islamic Shariah, which was misunderstood and not correct. I wanted to advise him to research the subject from authentic unbiased sources. The book did need more research in this area. It is possible that some readers may be offended by such comments.

I decided to rate the book 3 out of 4 stars. It was an interesting book to read and well researched but I felt it was too biased at times to be entirely objective.

For people who enjoy non-fiction, politics, philosophy, Trump and general information on America they might find the book interesting.

I think that people who are strongly against Trump and are democrats supporters may not enjoy the book. Some people, such as Muslims may find some things in the book offensive.
