Worldlines by Adam Guest is a fascinating fiction story that explores the possibility of impossible existence in multiple parallel universes. Quantum Physics has been used as the basis of the argument in the book. It goes into a deeper explanation of theoretical concepts that investigate the probability of a person having multiple existing lives in multiple worlds. Each person in the different worldlines follows a probable life pattern that the others do not follow. This in essence means that every possible way our lives could turn out, other versions of ourselves live them out in other existing worlds. A theory called Quantum Infinity in the book.

Guest uses Gary to explore these theories in a riveting story where two Garys exist in parallel worlds. Their stories begin where the first Gary escapes death by a lorry while the second Gary gets hit by the same lorry, suffering injuries as a result. The second Gary realizes of the possibility of having committed a crime, in another existence, when he gets a lucid dream where he murders Michelle, first Gary's wife. This is made worse by his mother-in-law who recounts the incident in detail, yet she has no way of knowing all this. With the help of his friends, he embarks on a journey to save his 'other self' from a dark future as a convicted murderer.

I found the story to be very interesting. The author balances these seemingly outrageous ideas with realness in character and plot development, effectively transforming a far-fetched story into a believable one.

I loved his simple style of writing. The author manages a straightforward delivery in his storytelling, minus the complicated Physics talk, in a book that would be best described as complex. All the difficult jargon is taken care of in the first few chapters, where the reader is required to be keen in order to understand the complexity of the theories under discussion. Through Gary, I also enjoyed an abundance of dry humor that often left me in stitches.

The first few chapters were a little slow because of the explanations required to put the story in context for the reader. This was the only part I disliked. I urge readers who love a high-tempo read, to be a little patient at the start of the book.

For these reasons, I rate the book a strong 4 out of 4 stars. The editing was impeccable with no grammar errors. Because of the mild profanity and sexual content, I recommend the book to young adults onwards and physics lovers, especially those with an understanding of Quantum Physics. I am curious to see how these theories will be proven in time, after all, we do live in a world full of endless possibilities

It's a very intriguing book. Though, I was sad for Gary to go through the loss of his wife because his parallel-life self killed her. I would love to read this whole book. Thanks for the wonderful review.
