Love stands different for different people. The expectations, fantasies, efforts, moments, varies from people to people. But the word 'love' evokes a kind of expectation in everyone. My Trip to Adele by R.I. Alyaseer and A.I. Alyaseer deals with the very concept. The novel explores the theme of love in three different people and the influence of Adele's songs on them.

The 227 pages of the book share stories of Elias, Yaser and Nadia in 25 chapters. All three stories are connected to Adele's concert tour of 2011. Each chapter is accompanied by one or more of Adele's song which accentuated and showcased the feelings of the characters. The stories explored lost love, broken marriage, reconciliation, faith, freedom and need of understanding and efforts in love.

The most interesting aspect of the book is the way the story develops. The work can be called a page turner. Each story brings out a different angle of love. The characters, though belong to a very different culture, feels relatable in one way or the other. The beauty of Adele's songs, the experiences of characters and the visual details of different locations gives out an amazing vibe to the reader. The last chapters were successful in putting the readers on the verge of tears.

I would rate this work 4 out of 4 stars as it was a touching and mind blowing journey. The narration was inexplicably good and the book is exceptionally well edited. The book has done justice to its characters and the theme. The work lacks the stereotypical approach in portrayal of love. Reality of life is well represented.

I would recommend this book to everyone who is seeking a wholesome experience. Reading this work becomes an interesting adventure especially to Adele fans. The book is a must read and a must have.
