Evan and Friends Meet the Pirates, a fictional children book, is the second book in the Evan and Friends series written by Chris Williams. This book is about the adventurous journey of Evan and his friends, Violet and Grayson.

Their encounter with the pirates happened during the second week of their vacation in Wales. After a hearty and hilarious breakfast, they decided to swim not faraway from where they are staying. Evan, Violet, and Grayson had been taking swimming lessons, and they truly enjoy it. The three of them were happily throwing jokes at each other while floatin in the sea when a big wave occurred and brings them in an island they're unfamiliar with. And that's when and where they met the pirates. Will they be able to go home in one piece? Will the pirates bring disaster to them?

I enjoyed the book. My excitement arises as I turn the pages, so as a result, I finished the book in one sitting. Especially when the fight between the two ships occurred, I became more excited to flip the next page and keep asking myself, "What will happen to the three children?"

The book was written with an easy to comprehend words, so even little children can understand the story. It includes some pictures that will help the children to absorb the scenes. It also contains a glossary and some pictures to color. So even after reading the book, the children can still enjoy it, while coloring those funny and enjoyable pictures.

The book is also humorous. It consists of jokes and riddles, that can be appreciated with no range of age, so reading it will give the readers a fun time.

The book was well-written, but I noticed some minor errors. However, those errors didn't affect the quality of the book, it still is an exceptional one. I gladly give this adventurous and humorous book 4 out of 4 stars. I can proudly say that this book will be appreciated to the children. And adults who like adventurous and humorous children book will enjoy reading the Evan and His Friends Meet the Pirates.

This book sounds like an enjoyable read. The three children have been swept away by a big wave to an unfamiliar island where they encounter the pirates. What would they do? How would they go back home? I would like to read the book to know the answers. Thanks for the great review.

What a unique way for the children to encounter the pirates! I like that the story is set in Wales. That opens the door to study a bit of geography. I loved that you pointed out the humor and the jokes. This book has so much to offer for children and adults. Thanks for the amazing recommendation!

Vacations, epic journeys, swarthy pirates, and fighting ships would definitely keep a sea-faring plot thoroughly entertaining! 🏴‍☠️ Thank you for your lovely review.
