This doesn't seems my type of book. Sexual content and it's abrupt ending are some reasons of my disinterest in the book. Thanks for the review.

This is a story about how the life of a 9 year old girl living on a farm changes when she faces abuse by her cousin. Congratulations BOTD!

It's anticipatory at the beginning making you to dream about childhood and all the naivity of children and the cruel reality evil men as paedophile brings to shatter the dreams we have. It also teaches to speak out no matter what someway or the other help will come. Expecting better ending for LIZZY and Stephanie .

This book sounds like an enjoyable and riveting novella. I like that development of each of the characters was commendable. However, I don't think I enjoy books with sexual content. Otherwise, congrats on the BOTD!

This book is impressive as she follows and learn about adult things. But I disagree with how the parents teach her those information. Regardless, thank you for the review.

I wonder what era is this book depicted? I feel bad that a family member commits sexual assault on this child. I don't know if I have the stomach for this. Thanks for your review.

I'm wondering how the author has managed to capture so much in a 32-page book. And Lizzy's struggles are gut-wrenching.
Thanks for this impressive review. :tiphat:

Does Lizzy speak out about the abuse? Books dealing with such topics are important if they lend a voice to those that are unable to speak.
Thank you for the inciteful review. Congrats on Botd.

Wow, this is a heavy one. It sounds like a coming-of-age book that uncovers uncomfortable topics. I sure hope that Lizzy feels brave enough to confide in a trusted adult, and this never happens to her again. Thanks for the detailed review.

I think a lot would depend on the child. It was not right for the character of Lizzy, and their lack of communication showed their total ignorance of her personality.

I agree it is a good book. The opening had me captivated but I was only able to sample a few pages. Your review is also informative enough, and now I know what to expect from the remainder of the book.

Hmm
This is a very unconventional parenting strategy!,
I mean, the way they thought to teach Lizzy about sex😂
Anyways, the book sounds lovely and your review was very detailed. Thanks

The story certainly covers important but sensitive topics. It does not seem suitable for preteens, depending on the maturity of the child and perhaps with parental guidance. Some Christians might be offended by the narrative, as in parts it seems a little biased. I feel like there could have been more to the story. Although the ending was a little abrupt, it seemed realistic for the character of Lizzy as she had been portrayed in the story. I found it rather humorous. Thanks for the good review on this book.

Thank you for your good review, the story is quite interesting and this story reminds us especially if we are a parent, the openness between parents and children is very important, both for parents and children, whether the teachings has given do not deviate from the original intention. This book also tell us how important is the correct way to teach sex education for a child. Sometimes families who are obedient to the church consider sex education a taboo subject. So it's wrong to explain it to children in young age.
The point is this book is really useful to reminds us how important parenting is. Good book.

So far I have sampled the first chapter of this book and I agree that once I started it I am wanting to read more. I am usually not one to pickup up this genre for reading but your review really made me want to finish this book because it is fast paced and one I could read in between other books! Your review made me curious to see how the ending will play out.
