Inca and her family went for a holiday vacation to an Island called Serendipity in Sri Lanka. They enjoyed each moment while at the Island. The weather condition at Inca’s family home place, London, was cold. So the family had a reason to be thankful for being in Serendipity Island because the weather condition was warm, which was favorable for them. The holiday started well with no drama. A few days later, Inca’s human mom got the news of a stolen valuable sword from the Colombo Museum. She shared the news with her kitty kids, Inca, Cara, and Fromage.

Inca had a detective agency called Inca & Company. The news woke her urgency to bring together her detective team and do an investigation regarding the stolen sword. During the investigation, Inca and her detective team realized that other valuable goods were also stolen. Will they succeed to find the stolen valuables? Will they be able to identify the perpetrators? Grab a copy of the book and find out how the team applied their detective skills.

Solo (human) was a close friend of Inca’s mom. He was also an international detective who was good at solving crimes. He had a dog called Terrence (a close friend of Inca and a team member of Inca & Company). I like how their roles impacted the investigation of the stolen valuables. I also like how the author put together human characters and animals to create a fascinating story.

The most thrilling parts of the story are where Inca gets lost and meets a snake that tries to trap her. The other part depicts how mama Leopard reacts when she finds Inca playing with her little ones. The awe-inspiring moments include the bond Inca and her siblings created with Meena (Baby Elephant) and Mama Elephant.

The book Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi is a diary written by Inca showcasing the events the family experienced at the Island. The content penned in the diary is very detailed and engrossing. The writing style is descriptive and in a conversational tone. I did not find any grammatical error or formatting issue, which makes the book exceptionally edited. There is a lot that kids can learn from the book about different countries and cultures. The kids will also learn the importance of loyalty, commitment, and responsibility. The illustrations in the book are incredible. They help the reader understand better the scenes in the story. The book deserves 4 out of 4 stars.

The adventure and fun moments incorporated in the story make the story sound more enjoyable and entertaining. The book is free from profanity, gory scenes, and erotic scenes. I enjoyed every bit of the events in the story, and I have nothing against the book.

I recommend the book to children between ages 5 and 15 years. This age group will understand the English used to narrate the story and have an opportunity to learn new vocabulary used in the narrative. Children below the age of 5 years will find it difficult to enjoy reading the book because of some advanced terms used in the story.
