What happens when a disgraced scientist and a salvage team are left alone on a space station? Really bad meals and a lot of anger. Dr. Ryburn is working on a very important discovery that could change the future of space travel forever. At least that’s what he believes. If only the salvage team would leave him and his important work alone so that he could prove it. The salvage team views Ryburn as nothing more than a madman standing in the way of their task of dismantling the old space station. Unfortunately for the men on the station, things don’t always happen in linear sequence.

I absolutely loved Doyle’s Law. Sam Roberts knows how to write a book that keeps you going back for more. It's as if he adds another layer to the story right when you think you've figured everything out.

When I read the book, I was reminded of why I enjoy science. The thrill of adventure and the endless possibilities and even the madness that other people see when first hearing about a new invention. It has been a long time since I read a book so well-written and entertaining.

In parts of the book, I worried that Sam had completely lost the plot and forgotten about events that had taken place. But in the end, he masterfully brought it all back together one last time.

The time travel did make my head spin, and I was worried I wouldn't finish the book. I breathed a sigh of relief when I realized that this time travel did not involve different timelines, but stayed on one path. The explanation for time travel may appear a little confusing at first, but it is done just right.

I rate Doyle’s Law 4 out of 4 stars. The book was amazing to me, even though there were times when my head was spinning and I feared time travel. I was reminded of my love of science and exploration and of the many unanswered questions we have out there. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

I would recommend this book to older teenagers and up. There was some mature language which is understandable without being offensive. You don't need prior knowledge of science to read this book. Although it helps and makes you appreciate the explanations in the book, it won't detract from the story if you don't understand them. If you're looking to get a taste of time travel without being overwhelmed, this would be a good book.
