Stolen Redemption written by R B Alonso tells a story about a man named Adrian Powell who is trying to expand his criminal drug empire. Adrian's brash demeanor draws attention from rival drug gangs who want to remove Adrian from their territory using a corrupt police officer. The book follows Adrain and those involved in his life questioning whether redemption is ever possible within the criminal world or are some crimes just too bad to ever be forgiven.

I really like the idea of the story for the book based on the fact is everybody entitled to be forgiven for past crimes and have some kind of redemption. It really had me thinking if there are some crimes which just shouldn't be forgiven or if we as a society should take into account if the person is remorseful, had a bad childhood, and could with rehabilitation be redeemed.

I found the book to be quite hard to fully get into at first. The book switches between perspectives amongst the many different characters so at first, it can be hard to feel connected to any one particular character. After a few chapters once I became used to the writing style I found the actual storyline quite interesting and couldn't put the book down as I wanted to know what happened to each character. I felt that the book could have benefited from being a bit longer to include more in-depth character development.

I give Stolen Redemption by R B Alonso 3 out of 4 stars the characters within the book were interesting and complex but I feel that the story could have benefitted from providing more background information on the characters. I feel if the book had been written purely from the perspective of Adrian this would have helped to show the complexities within his personality and made for a more interesting read. The book was also well edited.

I would recommend this book to readers who are interested in books about crime with a few twists in the story. I would also recommend this book to anyone who is interested in the prospect of redemption and how entitled everyone should be to have the chance to turn their life around.
