I have read both this review and the sample of the book. I already looked up the other two books in the series as I would like to read the trilogy. It sounds like a refreshing story that needed to be told.

This historical fiction book seems to bring the story of a family who passed through several difficulties, from a nuclear meltdown to the coronavirus pandemic. I don't know if it is for me, but congrats on BOTD to the author! Thanks for the review!

I know this may not be viewed well, but I felt jilted when George Floyd, a convicted criminal, received an American flag and memorials for his death. I also think the civil unrest caused the pandemic to spread as quick as it did. As it is now, I can't even go to the grocery store since I refuse the vaccine and will continue to do so. I am not a big fan of historical fiction, but I do like the idea of the family woring together to face major obstacles in life. Good review.

Hi!

Congratulations on your BOTD review!

Regarding the book, while many readers will be able to relate to COVID life and recovering from workplace injuries, i hope that the problems are handled with respect. I think given that the book is relatable helps people be more engaged. Although I like the concept of combinng recent events and a fictional family living each moment and with eventual success, I do not think historical drama is "right" for me.

Thank you for this review.

When life throws you lemons, make lemonades. Stories like this show us that we are not the only one facing difficulties after difficulties. It inspires us to move forward one step at a time. Thanks for the review. Keep it up!

Thank you for your great review. I have read a sample of it and I do think it's interesting to see how each person handles difficulties and the pandemic differently. As others have said, I don't believe I would have put a book about things that happened one or two years ago in the historical fiction genre though.

Many Americans can relate to this book because of the setting and events that took place in the story. I like that the family remained close-knit despite the challenges they faced throughout the onset of the pandemic. Thanks for your detailed review.

This is the fictional story of a family living during the Covid19 pandemic and civil unrest caused by George Floyd's murder. I don't think I am ready to read this story considering that Covid19 is far from over. But congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for a solid review.
