This seems like a perfect read, although I am not sure about the usage of Bible quotes, a person like me might be lost. But I love that tune author wrote in a perfect descriptive manner that a reader won't get lost.

Since I am familiar with the Bible, it was easy for me to spot instances where Norris referenced some Bible verses but with a twist. This was what I enjoyed most about this story. One such instance in the book was this:
As it is written in the prophet Hosek: 'My people perish for lack of knowledge.'
This quote was lifted from the Book of Hosea in the Bible, and "Hosek" here was a play on "Hosea," one of the minor prophets in scripture. This kind of a play on words was used to full effect in this book.
I'm not into fantasy and much less Christian fantasy, but I've got to admire your scriptural knowledge. That's why I love Onlinebookclub, because we are all so different, and we all enrich the community and bring different perspectives to the reviews.
Thank you!

I enjoy fantasy thrillers but unfortunately I'm not really into books about Christianity. I'll pass on it, but I'm sure many readers will find it interesting.

Sci-fi/Fantasy is most definitely not my preferred cup of tea, but my daughter is just the right type of adventurous dreamer to adore it! This epic tale about the eternal war between the light and darkness will entertain her immensely, so I thank you on her behave and congratulate with BOTD!

A fantasy thriller novel "Sword of the Spirit" by Mark A Norris, which follows Eagan, who is a lover of adventure. Along with his companions, he goes on a quest, which takes him across the darkness to the other side. I feel this novel is entertaining.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

This is a fantasy thriller that poses an allegory of the Christian faith and spiritual warfare that believers encounter every day. Also, it has an adequate, descriptive writing style. A good choice for the Christian audience who loves the fantasy genre.

As a Christian, this sounds like a fantasy book I could finally enjoy! I like that the author did the play on words when pertaining to scripture instead of quoting the actual name of the book in the Bible they took it from. That will be interesting! Thanks for the wonderful review!

This book is right up my alley except for one thing, I find fantasy novel too confusing to understand. The good vs evil element makes it very fascinating and the central character, Eagan Argyle, has captured my interest. Your review was wonderful to read.

Christian readers will likely enjoy this adventurous, epic fantasy thriller.
There is no frigate like a book
To take us lands away,
Nor any coursers like a page
Of prancing poetry.
This traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of toll;
How frugal is the chariot
That bears a human soul!

I like that the book is full of adventures and subplots. I think this is good for the dynamics of the plot and the development of curiosity in the readers.

This book sounds quite original, considering that it is a fantasy thriller based on a Christian allegory and the spiritual warfare believers encounter every day. I'd be interested in adding it to my reading list. Thanks for your review!

I wasnt too keen on fantasy thrillers till I watched Shadow and Bone on Netflix. The show got me interested in this genre so for that very reason I would read this book. Your review is also quite compelling.

Sword of the Spirit by Mark Norris is a fantasy thriller novel many Christian readers would enjoy. It requires meditative thinking to understand the deep meaning.
The review is superb.
