It's the first time I read the word 'unputdownable', I quite like it

. I am not too much in autobiographies though, though I can see how it must be cathartic to write everything down (after having shared it with a stranger in a bar).

This non-fiction story tells of the author's survival from an abusive childhood with a mentally ill mother and an absent father. The author's ability to see the humor in his life makes this an interesting read. Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your excellent review.

The narrative style of the book seems interesting. I can imagine that a bar on an island would be the perfect place for strangers to exchange stories. Thanks for the wonderful review.

A lot of people turn to humor to get through tough situations. I can't wait to read this one. As for a three-year-old smirking? Yeah, I can see it. My son would have done that.

I like the author’s writing ability to process one shocking story in a humorous way. I think it’s great that the author has never lost control of his life despite the circumstances.

A memoir in which the author recounts intriguing events that occurred during his childhood, adolescence, and adult life. It is striking that despite being a heartbreaking story, the author tells it in a fun way with a simple and suspenseful writing style.

I like reading memoirs and your review has convinced me that this one will be worth the read. Also, as a side note from my experience raising two kids, 3- year- olds can smirk.
