On the other hand, there is just something down right comforting about holding a physical book in your hands. There is also the smell of a book to consider..never mind the fact that this is nothing more than glue, ink and mildew you are smelling. It evokes a time when that was the only way to really read a book! I don't get that sensation from my Kindle. The Kindle doesn't look nearly as impressive sitting on the bookshelves beside the fireplace as my collection of books either. My books have taken a lifetime to collect. They have moved from place to place with me, and seen many changes in my life. I revisit them like old friends. I will never feel that way about my Kindle though I can appreciate it for what it is and isn't.

If the book is something I really enjoy, I will most definitely get a physical copy.
But for most others I will have a digital collection-- for convenience.
