A fast-paced novel with espionage seems to be interesting.

Thank you for the great review.

Death Ray seems to be an intriguing read, perfect for fans of fast-paced crime or espionage thrillers. It's right up my alley. Thanks for sharing.

This sounds like a suspenseful read. I am slowly coming around to spy-thrillers, so this definitely sounds like it will be a fun read. it will be fun to see how a death ray will come into play.

A truly nice review; but I am still not sure whether I would love to read this book or not. Way too many things are left out in the overview of the story itself, and the focus placed on how well the latter (the story) has been presented or narrated. Judged squarely as appealing, the telling of the story would then seem to be the book's greatest merit or the factor that would most appealed to potential readers or listeners.

Although I have always been interested by speculations, both true and untrue, about the death ray, my reader-curiosity would have surged were it (death-ray technology) explored in a mix of fantasy and science fiction. Nevertheless, I love audiobooks, so quite stuck. I might just get a copy afterall. :)

I'm not big on military fiction and I almost always have an issue with books where I need to have suspension of disbelief. For these reasons, I think I'll pass, but it does sound like a fast-paced novel for people looking for a simple, thrilling read.

Military stories are not my favorite genre. I read the sample pages and just didn't get into the story but I'm sure there is a wide audience for this novel. Congratulations on BOTD!

Not exactly my cup of tea, even though I am a big fan of this mix-gen, any mention of wars and military are not to my taste. I really try to avoid such violence and because of it I will have to skip this book. Sorry and congrats with BOTD!

This sounds like a fast-paced and engaging thriller with a little of everything - crime, millitary, politics, engineering. Thanks for the review!

I liked how you mentioned "suspension of disbelief". But, what's a thriller without it. Thanks for the review.

I’m intrigued with the death ray so I’m looking forward to digging into this novel to find how Bronson will be able to get out unharmed in the espionage.

This doesn't sound all that interesting to me, and after sampling a few pages of the book, I won't be reading it. There is a lot of dialogue in the first several pages that don't come across as realistic, so it didn't hold my interest. Nevertheless, congratulations to Mr. King on being awarded BOTD.

I don't think a war and military fiction book is for me since those themes don't attract me. Nevertheless, the novel seems to be pretty thrilling since the main character, Mark Bronson, discovers a death ray while working. This novel seems to be filled with suspense, crime, espionage, action, but it also contains some romance. Congrats on BOTD to the author! thanks for the great review!

I'm not really into this genre but the characters sound quite impressive. I think the story will make a great read. Thanks for the review.

I have yet to experience a fiction audiobook in full. I don't think a military story should be my first try, though. I wonder what the death ray can do. It sounds frightening.
