Military and violence is not my cup of tea. But i hope the readers who enjoy this genre would definitely like this book. With great narration the book might be unputdownable. Thanks for the great review.

Hi!

Congratulations on having your review featured on BOTD!

I am intrigued that you listened to the audio book rather than reading a book. All the reviews on this website that I have read thus far are from users who read a book.

I enjoyed the amount of detail you included. I also appreciate your use of the term "suspension of disbelief," because I have been taught that term throughout my college theater degree. The elements of the stories described do sound like you need a strong level of that in order for the story to "make sense." I am grateful death rays are fictional but adding war, a relationship falling appart and losing your job help make the story relatable.

Thank you for your review.

I am not a fan of war stories but Death Ray by Tom King is highly recommended to lovers of military war stories. It includes violence of course, take heed. The author has done a great job with this audio book.

Having read a sample of the book and your balanced, considered review I am tempted to give the book a try. I'm intrigued to know more about Mark and his sarcastic narrative. Thanks for your thoughts on the book.

It is an interesting fictional thriller about Mark, the death ray and war. I wonder how the characters personalities develop overtime due to war. Congratulations on BOTD!

Out of desperation due to financial need or anything else when we settle for less, we give up on better things that might otherwise have brought us joy and meaning. "Agreeing to work for Raymond Richardson was the worst decision of my life." These words of Mark Bronson, the main protagonist of the book, begin this war and military fiction. Tom King has shown his skill in creativity in this genre. You have written a rounded review. Congratulations on the BOTD!

I'm not into military stories but I'm sure many other readers will find it interesting. It's great that it's fast-paced, and professionally done in both written and audio form.

I am partial to books like thi. I would definitely be more inclined to read a book like this with some twists and turns as well as action, adventure, excitement, etc. over a romance novel any day. It may just be a book that I have to pick up in the future.
