The pursuit of money often costs too much, it leads people to do a lot of things - both good and bad.

The book Money Faucet by Joe Calderwood is about a dirty banker, Clint Kennedy with the drive to get rich at all cost. Even though he launders money for drug lords and is involved in other heinous acts, he still has a little good in him that's why he fights to ensure that Eddie's grandfather gets what he deserves.

The structure of the book is both unique and admirable. The author put in a lot of creativity in creating the story. It wasn't witten like the usual fiction or story book. It was structured in such a way that the date and time coincided accurately with real time events. For example, the date October 23, 2009, was truly in the early days of Obama's first tenure as the president of the United States of America. This and style of narration that the author employed gave the book a sense of a true life story.

The plot of the story is also unique and well structured. The climax of the plot was first introduced when Clint walked in and found Jessie murdered, then an exposition of the situation, a series of conflicts arose as result and finally resolution. Beyond this, what I enjoyed most was the twist and turns that the author factored in the book to spice up the story.

The author is a skilled writer. He skillfully employed literary terms, he introduced the story with foreshadowing. It built a dramatic tension and created a level of suspense at the beginning of the book that lasted throughout the story. This dramatic tension and suspense created early in the story glued me to the book and kept me wondering what will happen next as the story progressed.

I love how the author developed characters in the book. The author uses direct and indirect characterization to reveal the traits and characteristics of each character. He introduces each character with little description and then allows the reader to intimate and interact with them using dialogue, thought, action and effect on others.

There is absolutely nothing that I disliked about the book.

I found very few errors in the book. The editors did a good job. I'd rate the book four out of four stars. I'd recommend it to crime thriller lovers.
