I think I might enjoy this story if it was just a crime thriller, but I am a bit allergic to the idea of a woman protagonist with superpowers. Although, your review doesnโ€™t tell what kind of superpowers she has (all women have some, right? ๐Ÿ˜‚) and I am a bit curious about that. However, this sounds like an entertaining story, I hope they correct the mistakes.

Thanks for an interesting review!

Annie's discovery of her superpowers is part of her story, so I couldn't spoil it with details. Thank you for your appreciation!

Thanks for your interesting review. I also prefer books with a solid and logical storyline, as the plot holes will dampen the mood. Still, I guess I will need to read the prequel of this book to fully understand Annie's power.

I think I would enjoy this fast-paced thriller. The fact that the novel is a standalone makes it even more appealing. Thank you for this amazing review!

There are enough explanations in this novel to make it a standalone but if you want the full details you have to read the first novel as well. Thank you for your appreciation!

The author seems committed to making his novel self-contained, so you can choose if and when you want to read them all. Thank you for your appreciation!

Although the climax and ending sound haphazard and rushed, the rest of the book and its plot sounds like a very thrilling read. Since it is a standalone book, I may check it out. Thank you for putting up a greatly detailed review of this book!

A bit of polishing might benefit the ending and the bits that contain errors, but the plot is thrilling indeed. Thank you for your appreciation!

I guess, sporadic behavior is quite common among main characters of thriller dramas :) Still sounds like a captivating read! Thank you very much for this amazing review!

In a complex storyline, some bits can seem hard to match with the rest only to have a more or less logical explanation at the end of the novel, so just be confident. Thank you for your appreciation!

I think I will enjoy both the books. A crime thriller with a bit of science fiction is my cup of tea. Also, I am curious to know more about Annie's superpower. Thanks for the lovely review.

I am displeased when fascinating novels loose a star because of poor editing. Thanks for the brief and thorough review.

This is one of those sad cases in which the editing isn't that bad but there are a bit more than 10 errors: it's much better than some other books I reviewed and really lacked proofreading but has enough errors to cost a star. Thank you for your appreciation!

As much as I know that this is the second book in the series, I'm glad to know that it is independent. The thrill of Annie Steele's investigations must be top notch. Great review!
