War is not a good thing. It breaks even the strong in character. I think people who have experienced war, should be told that it is okay to heal. It is not easy but it can be done. This seems like a good book to read.

Although I would like to learn about the Vietnam war, I will avoid this book because it is lengthy. I, however, like that the characters are well developed.

Thank you for sharing your review with us. I don’t generally enjoy books about war, so I think I will pass on this one.

Although it sounds interesting, I'm not too fond of books on war. Congrats on BOTD!

War, violence and the resulting trauma is actually very much hearbreaking. The aftermath of wars and the broken life lived by the soldiers is evenmore heartbreaking. I would definitely read this book to understand the situations that a soldier has to face in order to keep his country safe. Thanks for the nice review.

While I have no doubt that the book is enlightening as well as powerful, reading books centered on war is not my cup of tea. I will have to pass this one. Thanks for the honest review!

This slow-paced book introduces the reader to the everyday routine of life as a soldier in the Vietnam war. The reader is not spared the traumas, but rather he feels like one of the soldiers. Thanks for the review!

I'm not into novels that talk about the war. This being slow-paced is also a no-no for me.

I like reading about wars and their impact on the individuals who had partaked in such wars. How it changed their lives and that of their loved ones. This will be a very educative and thought-provoking read.

Today's Book of the Day will appeal to fans of war stories. The author's descriptive style that creates vivid imageries is likable. I'm not a war-stories aficionado, though. Congratulations on #BOTD!

Watching the agony of war and seeing what soldiers go through, I have no other argument than to agree that going of war mission is truly suicidal. But though I struggle with the gory scenes, I still love reading and watching it. Great book anyway! Congrats.
