Do you want to travel back to your childhood? Then you should read Love, Grandma by Ann Morris. It's a heartwarming book about Grandma's interactions with her young granddaughters, Payton and Haley. They play, read books, cook, draw amazing things on Grandma's driveway, put on theatrical shows with stuffed animals, have funny sleepovers, and are engaged in all kinds of activities that kids love so much.

The author dedicated this book to her granddaughters, but other kids or adults would like it too. This wonderful book helped me remember all games we had played with my grandmother in my childhood years. I especially like that the author mentions numerous jars with buttons for craft projects, as I still have my grandmother's old collection of them.

In my opinion, the book would help young readers to enrich their vocabulary and learn many new words like "galore," "charm," "somersault," to name a few. Also, the book is written in rhyme, and it is so important for the development of children's memory.

I loved the author's sense of humor. Grandma can't do backbends as proficiently as she could in her youth. Thus, the book explains to kids such an important topic as the aging process. Another moving aspect of the book is that Payton and Haley feed birds together with their grandmother. So, Grandma teaches them to love and take care of nature from a very young age. Also, Peyton, the elder sister, had used to be with Grandma alone before Haley joined them. But when it happened, "Grandma's love grew more." Thus, the book supports young readers by saying that Grandma's love has no limits.

I cannot name a single negative aspect of this fascinating book. Also, it was exceptionally well edited, for I didn't find any errors or typos. That's why I'm pleased to give this book 4 out of 4 stars. I couldn't give it three stars also because of the beautiful illustrations by David Gnass. They are simple yet eye-catching. I believe they would guide kids in studying colors and forms.

Although I agree with the author that kids of any age can enjoy this fascinating book, I would recommend it to children from 4 years old, considering the vocabulary. Their parents, teachers, or other adult readers who would like to look back at the cloudless days of their childhood would appreciate this lovely read too.

It's a shame that every child doesn't know the power of a grandparent's love. This sounds like a wonderful children's book. Thank you for an excellent review!
