I'm not much into poetry so I'll probably pass on this book. I'm sure many other readers will enjoy it, and will appreciate the various different topics in it.
"You can be more aware and more present simply by resting in the present moment, open to all that is, without trying to control it or grasp it with the mind. Truly, a marvelous way of being!"

I'm not really a poetry person, so I'm afraid I don't have the requisite knowledge to appreciate writing of this profundity. Poetry connoisseurs will surely enjoy this one.

Personally, I never knew a group of poems can be actually put together to make a book, nevertheless, this sounds interesting I will have to read this one. Great review by the way.

Short poem, long poem - it is all the same to me, because I don't like nor do I understand the poetry. I only read it at school since it was impossible to avoid the assignments, but never on my own volition. Sorry, but I will skip this one, but anyway congrats with BOTD!

Poems are oftentimes a difficult stuff to understand but enchanting to read because of their innate beauty and mystery. I’m looking forward to this collections of wonderful stories encapsulated in short phrases.

I am a wannabe poet myself. I think I'll find Oswani's work interesting. I hope "Toy Contentment" is part of the sample.

This is an interesting collection of 101 poems written on a multitude of topics highlighting humor, poetry, and literary fiction. The book is temporarily discounted on Amazon Kindle and has a well-written OnlineBookClub review. Congrats on the BOTD selection.

Wow! A book of poems that is thought-provoking. I'm completely sold on this. It seems like a book that sends messages to the soul and not just the mind. Kudos to the author. Thanks for your review.

A quick thought provoking read is something I would enjoy. I'm just surprised that it can be done with poetry. I see Osmani 'aided' you by pointing out the difficulty of reviewing such a book. :-)

'Official Review: Short Poems, Long Tales' by Rashid Osmani has a good introduction! It well analyses the important points of the poet's work for readers! The point that the topics of the poetry touch upon existential ideas ranging from gender to religion to death, broken families, and life passing by is worth mentioning in the review! Also, the point that there is a sense of dark and dry humor used throughout the book, as mentioned in the review, is remarkable for readers! Nice to learn that the poet writes with an interesting style and some of his works are intriguing!

I'm not usually interested in poetry collections, but I do like what you say about there being something for everyone in this collection. I will probably pass on this one for now though. Excellent review though!

The fact that there is something for everyone within Osmani’s works makes the work more intriguing. Great review.
