This does seem to be an inspirational memoir. I like it when an author shares specific actions that they took in a difficult situation, and explains why they did that. Discrimination comes in many forms; like a gate, it swings both ways. He seemed to have been an observant and thoughtful child. Thanks for sharing an excellent review on this book.

Quite an inspirational story with many lessons to learn. The best part is the man is not making anything up, just telling the facts. Definitely adding it to my bookshelf.

'To God be the Glory' is an inspirational book drawn from life experiences that teaches: despite the shortcomings and bad life situations we encounter, we can triumph and mold ourselves into becoming resilient people.

I'm not fond of memoirs, nor of Christian literature, so I'll take a pass on this. However, I give the author credit for attacking the horrible process of racial profiling, as stated in the book's Introduction, and wish him all the best with the chronicle of his story.

It's rare to find a narrative that works well with more telling than showing, but I guess it happens. This seems like an uplifting book, although I worry that the religious overtone might prevent some people from reading an important story about overcoming discrimination.

To God Be The Glory! We Must Never Give Up sounds like an inspiring book. Through the eyes of Charles Wiley, we see how life can sometime be full of challenges that we only need intervention from God. Thanks for this insightful review. It really gave a glimpse of what the book is all about.
