Where usually I'm not tempted by poetry, I feel like I should make an exception for this book. The stories of Greek mythology are best told in the way the old Greek told their stories, with verse.

Do you ever get tired reading an endless ocean of uncommon or rare adjectives? The foreword feels overdone. Like an author putting his writing on grammarly and able to check the synonyms on every single word and chooses the most esoteric versions. Just in the foreword, I got tired of reading.

I purchased this book from Amazon when I was only halfway through reading the sample. Greek mythology has always been an interest of mine and I've followed the tales of Orpheus from the books of Bullfinch and Edith Hamilton to the films of Cocteau. I've also spent a good amount of my youth in the Greek isles; the author captured the loveliness of Aegean perfectly. And the French verses flowed magnificently, even more so than the English. Thank you, Mr. Kuckuck, for your book. I cannot wait to read it in its entirety.

Unfortunately, I don't enjoy the art of the poetry at all. Even reading it in my native first language makes me lightheaded and disoriented with confusing wording and turns of phrases. Do not take offense, but I will have to pass this book. Still with sincere admiration congrats on the BOTD!

Thanks for your review. Unfortunately, I do like the Greek myths, but I prefer it in the form of stories to poetry.

Thank you for the beautiful review.

Even though this is not my type of genre, your review and the fact that I'm a huge fan of Greek mythology makes me want to try it out.

This is an interesting collection of mythological fantasy poems which employ engrossing poetry to transport the reader to the classical age. The book is temporarily discounted on Amazon Kindle and has a masterfully-written OnlineBookClub review. Congrats on the BOTD selection.

A book of poetry set in Greek mythology that contemplates a love story. In addition, other topics such as the divine mysteries of life and death are addressed. It seems appropriate for passionate readers of classical literature and Greek mythology.

I usually stay away from poems about mythologies but the review made it sound interesting.

I have always loved Greek mythology and this book shows it in a very magical and beautiful way. I imagined the whole story in my mind. How he makes the unloving things dance to his magical tones is so amazing. It made me want to read the book even more. Thanks for the great review.
