I love stories from ancient Greece, but never succeeded in my attempts to learn to enjoy poetry. I also would not have the patience to look up so many Ancient Greek terms in order to understand what I read. However, this world the author created with his poetry sounds fascinating and for those who enjoy poems this is probably a great book to read.

Thank you for an inspiring review!

The book sounds interesting and the review is very enthusiastic. The book shows the mood of the ancient world and the captivating mythology of that epoch. I also liked that there are several poems written in a language other than English so the reader can enjoy a different language if he/she knows it. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Wonderful Review, It makes me want to read the book. Listed out things that I can expect from the book. Made aware of the lack of glossary and usage of Greek words.

The book sounds like an enjoyable read. However, I'm not a fan of poems, and I think that will affect my enjoyment of this book. Otherwise, Congrats on the BOTD!

A nice engrossing set of poetry in the book "In the Land of Myth" by Bernard Kuckuck, which takes us to the classical age with Greek mythology. It looks like the poems are very appealing to read. Let me try reading this book.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

Poetry is another form of art that speaks to a person. I love how even the poems in another language have English translations and, how different topics are addressed. Great review by the way!

The collection seems to revive interest in the classical age. Writing some of the verses in other languages looks like an approach to reach a wider audience. Congrats on BOTD!

This collection of poems takes us back to the classical age. I love how every poem brings different emotions so the reader can experience variety of feelings.

It was nicely described, though it was hard to understand as I'm not much into this genre. Overall this book is good.

I have never read a classical literature or books on Greek mythology. Your elegant review makes me want to read this book. Also it is so thoughtful of the author to translate foreign poems in English.

I read the excerpt of the book and I loved that there are other languages as well as their translation in English. Greek mythology and languages are two of my biggest interests. Also, when I do pick books about Greek mythology to read, they are usually in prose, so this will be a nice change. Thank you for a great review!

As someone who's neither interested in reading complex poetry nor mythology, I'm going to skip this one. But any reader interested in knowing more about Greek mythology through some captivating poetry will love this book.
Thanks for this wonderful review. :tiphat:

Mythology with a spice of fantasy is an excellent mix. Greek mythology couldn't have been any better. Your expert view was amazing to read.

Fans of poetry and Greek mythology will enjoy this. But alas, I am neither interested in poetry nor in classical literature so this is probably not the book for me.
