Galen Bray has known war and suffering for most of his life. Having a leader whose greatest wish is to take his brothers' lands to the detriment of his own people's comfort and happiness is no walk in the park. All that seemingly comes to an end when Rowan visits his home with a one-way ticket out of that war-torn land. This is his chance to start anew in Voulhire and create a good life for himself and his family (if he chooses to have one). But the calm and peace that Galen envisioned he would find in Voulhire would prove to be just a dream. They are those who plot to seize power for themselves, no matter the cost. How will Galen take this new adventure that he has been violently thrown into? What sort of man would he become in this strange land that he hopes to make his new home?

First of all, I would like to expressly say that I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book that Matthew Tysz titled We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies. I liked the amount of knowledge that I got about Voulhire, its people, and its culture. I know that this place is a product of a well-developed imaginative mind, but I would be lying if I said that I didn't feel thrilled with knowing as much as the author let me know about this fictional kingdom.

The thing that caught my attention most and became the point that I liked most in this book was Rowan's humor. Rowan comes across as a real trouble maker, who would joke in the face of death and not spare a single thought to how he would get out of that mess. I was really scared for him and worried that he might get into real trouble one day. But he was what I would like to call a breath of fresh air in the book.

I can't say that I disliked anything in We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz. I cannot wait to read its sequel. In fact, I hope to grab a copy of that first thing tomorrow.

This book was exceptionally edited and had not one single error in it. It is a book that succeeded in titillating my mind and keeping me entertained for its duration. I loved this. That is why I rate it four out of four stars. I recommend it to readers interested in medieval adventure novels with a touch of science fiction. I believe that readers will find Galen's stay and life in Voulhire very intriguing and interesting.
