People that love poetry will love this book. For me, I have never been into poetry. I hated poetry in high school and maybe that is why I dislike poetry to this day. It was a well written review though so Congrats on that...!!

I love reading poems because despite they are oftentimes difficult to decipher they are beautiful to read, rhymed or not. They speak about experience and learning, about life. I’m looking forward to digging into this book to appreciate the author’s thoughts.

Poems can be difficult to get through at times. Sometimes the author tries to be too poetic with their phrasing and meanings. It sounds like this time the poems have a true meaning behind them.

The description of the poems makes them sound quite appealing. I like the play on words, "Tomorrow Mourning," which really makes one reflect on the meaning behind the words in the poem. Great writing. This is an amazing recommendation!

This looks to be an interesting book of poems. It's good to know that the author focuses on conveying messages with positive and relevant meanings. Undoubtedly, a compilation of poems to reflect on and share. It was good the clarification about the cover, certainly not to be carried away by the first impression. Thank you for this wonderful review.

Reflections using analogies are great ways to give a message without being overbearing. The poems in this book sound like they will provoke thought in readers. Great review.

Thank you for your review. It seems that you love poetry. Poetry is not my favorite genre and I rarely make a connection to it.

'Official Review: Speaks for Itself: A Commodity of Musings from My Life' by Jeffery Paul Bailey is a thorough analysis of the relevant points of the book of poetry for avid readers! It well reflects on the theme of the poems of various aspects of life like passion, pain, love, despair, guilt, the dynamics in relationships, etc. The point that the readers would reflect on their own lives while reading the various poems in the book due to how relatable they are is worth mentioning in the review! Also, the point that the author uses symbolism to express himself in his poems, as mentioned in the review, is remarkable for readers! Nice to learn that the poems are inspiring and thought-provoking!

Thanks for your review. It seems this is a thought-provoking collection of poems that addresses many emotional aspects, though the cover is kind of scary.

Sounds like a great way for the author to mention important issues in an artistic and NOT aggressive manner.

That is a pretty wild cover, but given the author's penchant for wordplay, I can appreciate his reminder to keep my tongue on a leash. :)

Interesting topics touched by Jeff Bailey in this book. However, I don't understand poetry and also do not enjoy it. As such, I won't be reading this. I agree with you though that the book cover is quite off, but like you said, it could be redesigned. Thanks for your honest review.

The cover makes me think of a funny book, but it's not the case here. I'm surprised it's a book on poems, and it's more sober than expected. Poems are interesting, so I'll check it out. Congratulations on the BOTD.
