This is a lovely story, and the illustrations are exquisite! You will definitely enjoy this book.Fransisca Ekezie wrote: ↑20 Nov 2021, 02:07 I've always been a fan of animal stories, I've noticed most animal stories pass a message of life(greed, wisdom etc) so I'll definitely read the book. The answer to your question is on the tip of my tongue, butzainherb wrote: ↑20 Nov 2021, 05:53 This reminds me of the stories of the animal kingdom with the tortoise being the wisest, which we always used to listen to when we were little.
I wonder what tortoise did this time. Did he genuinely help, or try to trick everyone as usual?
I believe I will love this book.
Thanks for the lovely review.

I believe you will love this book too. The story and the illustrations are both excellent.

Isn’t it such a lovely cover! And the illustrations inside are breathtaking. At a pivotal part of the story, the full-page illustration projected so much excitement that I was cheering too. This is a wonderful story for children and anyone who would enjoy an escape into the simple beauty found in children’s stories.C Janet wrote: ↑21 Nov 2021, 05:54 Can I first say that the cover is absolutely beautiful! I read and loved such stories as a kid, especially the characters (the wise tortoise, the lazy hyena, and the cunning hare). I'm certain children will love this story, not to mention the illustrations and the moral lessons that come with it. Thanks for the excellent review!
Thank you for your visit, C Janet!

Illustrations are indeed important, and I believe this book has the most breathtaking artwork of any children’s book I have reviewed.Raluca_Mihaila wrote: ↑21 Nov 2021, 06:03 I would love to find out more about Africa! The illustrations seem very appealing, and that is a very important aspect for a children's book. Lovely review!

This book was definitely superb in both categories! Both child and adult will be captivated by this tale.Nqobile771 wrote: ↑22 Nov 2021, 02:12 "that phrase translates into gorgeous, bold, richly colorful scenes " - This statement has already earned the book a few points. I like it when authors make an effort to ensure the book is aesthetically pleasing and the contents is also top-notch. Awesome review.

I enjoy reading children's books too. Sometimes I am reading them with a child, but most of the time, it is the child in me that is savoring the story.Honest-reviewer wrote: ↑22 Nov 2021, 07:32 I enjoy reading children’s books, especially when it has colourful illustrations in it. I was pleasantly surprised by the educational bookends to this story. Cover to cover, it is an excellent read.markodim721 wrote: ↑25 Nov 2021, 04:31 I like that the book contains various facts about the Sahara but also Africa as a whole as well as the fact that children learn important virtues such as solidarity and unity.

I love children's books with beautiful pictures. I wish I could touch that book. But buying a paper book from where I'm at is too expensive.
