Ava Flips by Ava Nebel is about a young acrobat who loves flipping. Ava flips onto a door, chair, and even on her dog. She doesn’t stop at that because she even flips in the air. She is passionate to the extent of bumping her head. What else does she flip on?

Every child is passionate about something. Some enjoy playing basketball and baseball, while others are good at athletics. All in all, despite the difference in fields, it is our duty as adults to respect and support our children's talents. This novella reminded me of my young niece, who was adept at swimming. Her puppy would follow her around and jump into the water to showcase support. While doing it, their expressions were priceless.

This book brings good family memories. While at family get-togethers, it was always overwhelming to see kids engaging in various games and how happy they were while doing it. That is what I loved most. Also, the words employed are easy to decipher; therefore, children will not seek meanings of complex terms. This book is precise enough to suit its target audience.

There are a few points worth noting. One, while we acknowledge Ava’s love for gymnastics, it is critical to supervise kids while doing these exercises because the dangers involved may be grave if wrongly done. Additionally, it is natural for children to get excited to attempt something new for the first time. In some instances, like acrobatics, it is wise to note that classes may be recommended before flipping over.

We have a well-crafted and professionally edited book. I say so because I only detected a single error. I rate it 4 out of 4 stars, as I did not dislike anything. I recommend Ava Flips to young kids interested in different sporting activities, especially flipping. While at it, I feel like this book will be a source of inspiration to children struggling to excel in their sport of passion.
