The author comes across as sympathetic and honest about a difficult marriage situation. Being married to an alcoholic is one of the most devastating experience someone can go through. It is great how the author drew insporations from her life. Congrats on BOTD!

The most significant dilemma: how long will Annie continue to die in silence because of her husbands' unhealthy behaviors?
The point I want to insinuate is very realistic, I would invite her home with my address, console her and whisper words, only God knew what huge different that will make and sent her back in peace to choices that will save her in her situation.. :techie-studyinggray: :techie-studyingbrown:

This book ais about the relationship issues she has with her husband who continues to participate in unhealthy behaviors. Annie is a school teacher that is exhausted from dealing with her workload and the alcoholic husband she comes home to each night. Each chapter transitions to the next one by Annie leaving an outcome blank. I look forward to reading the whole book.

It sounds like an intriguing story. However, I am not sure I want to endure the flashbacks of memories from growing up with an alcoholic

There's a lot Annie is yet to unveil to the readers in this book, as the book sounds suspenseful. Great book to read.

The title of the book, together with the book description and the review make me so eager to devour this book. The theme is also a catchy one. Well-done!

It seems like a memoir and self-help book that hopes to enlighten and provide support for families struggling with alcoholism. Congratulations on Book of the Day.

It’s very brave and important that the author speak out about this because alcoholism and death from complications of alcoholism are not light topics. However, I’m not entirely sure how I feel about the occasional logic issues and the grammatical errors mentioned by the reviewer. I’m also not sure if it’s quite the kind of book I want to read because I have a “functioning alcoholic” father. People with similar experiences might find solace in it, and I feel less embarrassed when I see I’m not alone, but the subject isn’t comfortable for me. Thank you for the helpful review.

I think you made some great points regarding the need to be self-aware, in order to draw the more accurate conclusions that would match the situational context. It does seem like the author needs to engage in further introspection. Thanks for the review.

This book seems like a brilliant work. The cover strikes home too. I don't know why but men have to pull up their 🧦 when it comes to family and relationship. It's saddening to get complaints from left, right, and center from women about their lack of commitment and their irresponsible behavior. Great work!

This is indeed an interesting and enlightening read. The events in the story are also happening in reality. The book's message I guess is to be aware of unhealthy relationships and lifestyles.
Reading is a journey to the world.

I am sure that the author has an interesting life that is worth sharing with other people, but personally I am not very keen on reading about other people's hardships.

I read and know so many people who experienced failed marriage or relationship. It wasn't really nice, and they had a lot of hard time fixing or running away from it. Although, I have no plans of getting married or going in a relationship, this could help my friends and family. Thanks a lot for this
