Different cultures view fierce creatures, as ones that can cause some negative effects to the societies, and yet those creatures exists naturally.

I've been looking at reading this series for a while. I've been trying to fully decipher the concept of the books: real myths and legends or those found only in books of pure fiction. Your review clears that up. I prefer to study and learn real myths and legends rather than the ones made up for a particle book or series. I'm now looking forward to reading this series.
